Hello, my name is Trish and I am a glutton.
I was born in Malaysia to a Singaporean father and a Malaysian-Chinese mother. from as early as I can recall, the focal point of all family gatherings have been based around food. As a result in my adulthood, I eat, live and am consumed by food. Not a moment goes by that I don't think or dream about what to eat next.
I grew up in Singapore and moved to Australia during my pre-teen years. from a young age, I was exposed to all sorts of weird and wonderful things synonomous with Asian cuisine - from preserved century eggs to dried shrimp paste. I was always encouraged to try everything and anything. My food philosophy is that we should all try something at least once before passing judgement.
And so this blog was born in the European Summer of 2011. After a three and a half year stint in London, my husband's work moved to Prague in Spring 2011. as I speak no Czech (currently learning) and therefore unable to find paid employment, I saw this as an opportunity to put my previous life in Finance behind me and pursue my love of food. This space will document my journey during my time in Prague from testing out recipes found in food magazines and cookbooks through to our culinary adventures around the world and all the bits in between.
A friend used to say to me that my eyes were bigger than my stomach, I prefer to think that I eat my food with my eyes.
